Clay Ryan began his career in the finance industry in 2002 working alongside his father, Harold, as a Financial Consultant with A.G. Edwards. Drawn to Baird’s client first culture, he joined Baird in 2011 and later partnered with Brad Jones to form The Ryan-Jones Group. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, Clay helps guide individuals and families through life’s difficult transitions with care and compassion, while focusing on comprehensive wealth management and generational planning.
Clay earned his bachelor’s degree from Texas Christian University and his master’s degree from The University of Texas El Paso. Prior to working in the financial service industry, he spent several years as a marriage and family therapist. During this time, Clay developed a keen appreciation for the stressors that can complicate families’ lives and the importance of clear, honest communication in any partnership.
Clay grew up in El Paso and still maintains many relationships there. Along with his wife, Tricia, and his daughters, Mallory and Reese, Clay is proud to have called Fort Worth home for more than 20 years.
Clay places an emphasis on giving back and he serves on the Board of Directors for Casas por Cristo, a nonprofit organization which facilitates mission trips to Mexico, Guatemala, Nicaragua and the Dominican Republican to build homes. He and his family are especially connected to Guatemala where they make their annual trip to volunteer with Casas por Cristo. They are very active in University Baptist Church and in his free time, Clay enjoys hunting, fishing, golfing, and spending time with his family.
